Brand-new to the Wrangler lineup is a plug-in hybrid engine variant: 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 hybrid that manages 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. The plug-in hybrid works with an 8 speed automatic transmission. While all trim levels of the Wrangler come with a set of performance features to take on the great outdoors, some trims feature a more robust set of performance features for more rugged terrains. The standard four-wheel drive system that comes with the base Sport trim is a Command-Trac Part-time 2-speed transfer case.

Although the new Jeep Wrangler is first and foremost an off-road-ready vehicle, it also boasts a vast array of handy tech and convenience features. The base Sport trim, for instance, come equipped with a five-inch touchscreen infotainment display, Bluetooth connectivity, USB inputs, and push-button start. If the base Sport is a bit sparse for your needs, then drivers may want to consider the Sport S. The Rubicon, for instance, includes blind-spot and cross-path detection, full-speed forward collision warning, and ParkSense rear park assist. The new Jeep Wrangler also includes a variety of classic safety features like seat belts and airbags.

Exterior features range from functional to aesthetic in nature, with some notable exterior features being power-heated mirrors, automatic high-beam headlamp control, an integrated off-road camera, and a heavy-duty rock slider with step assist.
